Warranty Statement
All warranties listed below are effective as of April 7, 2016.
WHITING ROLL-UP DOOR COMPONENT - LIMITED WARRANTY
Hardware
- Hardware including track, and non-wear door hardware - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three(3)years from the date of manufacture.
Panels
- Door panel sections - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three (3)years from the date of manufacture. (See Extended Panel Warranty.)
Exterior Paint Finish
- Prime and/or finish coating - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three (3)years from the date of manufacture. (See Exterior Paint Finish Warranty.)
Wear Items
- Hardware including seals, rollers, cables, and springs - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of manufacture.
Genuine Whiting
- Parts and Components - Use of anything other than Genuine Whiting parts or components voids the warranty. Installation of any non-Whiting device or component to any part of the door kit voids the warranty.
- Installation - Installation workmanship of the door kit is the responsibility of the party that performs the installation.
WHITING CommandLIFT® - LIMITED WARRANTY
General
- Requirements - All warranty herein extends to the original owner only and requires proof of purchase and installation of CommandLIFT®Maintenance Kits at the first and second anniversaries of ownership.All warranty herein defines "warranty years" as the lesser of 12 months or 12,000 miles.
CommandLIFT® Kit
- Installed by an Authorized Whiting Shop - Whiting CommandLIFT® drive unit, electrical box & components, track and connecting rod &bracket are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years. Proper installation and maintenance of the CommandLIFT® is crucial for successful operation of this device. Any deviation from the CommandLIFT® Owner's Manual immediately voids the warranty. Adequate power supply must be as outlined in the CommandLIFT® Installation Manual and is required to maintain warranty.
- Installed by an Unauthorized Shop - Whiting CommandLIFT® drive unit, electrical box &components, track and connecting rod & bracket are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. Proper installation and maintenance of the CommandLIFT® is crucial for successful operation of this device. Any deviation from the CommandLIFT® Owner's Manual immediately voids the warranty. Adequate power supply must be as outlined in the CommandLIFT® Installation Manual and is required to maintain warranty.
Power Supply
- Power Supply Wiring - All wiring, if supplied by Whiting, is guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. Improper installation or hook-up voids the warranty. Any damage to the wiring sections is not covered.
Genuine Whiting
- Parts and Components - Use of anything other than Genuine Whiting parts or components voids the warranty. Installation of any non-Whiting device or component to any part of the door kit voids the warranty.
- Installation - Installation workmanship of the door kit is the responsibility of the partythat performs the installation.
- Integration - Integration of the CommandLIFT system with other operating systems may only be done with express written consentof Whiting Door. Failure to do so will void all warranties. Consult with your dealer or the factory before connecting any other systems to the CommandLIFT controller.
WHITING SWING DOOR COMPONENT LIMITED WARRANTY
Panels
- Laminated Panel - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three(3)years from the date of manufacture. (See Extended Panel Warranty.)
Exterior Paint Finish
- Exterior Surface - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three (3)years from the date of manufacture. (See Exterior Paint Finish Warranty.)
Wear Items
- Gasket - Whiting roll-up door products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of manufacture.

WHITING CUSTOM LAMINATED PANELS LIMITED WARRANTY
Panels
- Laminated Panels - Whiting Custom Laminated Panel products are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of three(3)years from the date of manufacture unless otherwise stated in project contract.
- Installation - Installation workmanship of the door kit is the responsibility of the party that performs the installation.
Additional Warranty Information
Exterior Paint Finish Warranty
Paint Warranty covers adhesion to panels. Industry accepted levels of "orange peel" and other minor cosmetic characteristics are not covered. In addition, lack of maintenance and/or exposure to harsh cleaning solutions or environmental conditions may void warranty.
Extended Panel Warranty
Damage caused by lack of maintenance, impact or abuse is not covered. All panels are subject to change due to ordinary exposure to weather and the environment conditions and are not considered defective for minor, expected changes in appearance that may occur.
Laminated Premium panels and their paint coatings are warranted for a period of 5 years subject to conditions of the standard Whiting Extended Panel Warranty and Exterior Paint Finish Warranty.
PremiumPlate panels are warranted solely to the extent of the panel supplier warranty.
All warranties are made with the express understanding that a claim must be made with Whiting prior to any repair or replacement action. The Whiting Door serial number must be included with any claim and Whiting will be given the opportunity to examine the defective item either in person, via return of the item or by the exchange of digital photos. Whiting approval and an RMA# (return materials authorization) is required before returning any material. We will not accept product returned without an RMA#.
Any warranty labor claim must be arranged with Whiting prior to performing any work. No unauthorized labor claims will be honored.
In no event shall Whiting be responsible or liable for any indirect, collateral, punitive, incidental, consequential or special damages resulting from the use, service or failure of any Whiting product. Such excluded damages include, but are not limited to, loss of good will, loss of profits, loss of use, interruption of business or similar indirect financial loss.
